Social Networking in the Classroom

Until I became a college student, I was never given the opportunity to use social networking of any kind for classroom related reasons. I also never would have imagined being given any reason to use the social networking pages, which I already used on a regular basis for my own enjoyment, as educational tools. Having used blogs in my Technology & Digital Media class and 2145 English course to discuss class assignments and course readings has proven to be extremely helpful in expressing my own ideas on the current coursework as well as gaining new insights from others. Using blogs as a classroom tool now seems as normal to me as using notebook paper and pen.
