English speakers are constantly creating new words whether on purpose or not. More often than not, this is done because there is an idea or concept that they find difficult to express using any of their previously known vocabulary. There are several processes speakers of the english language use in order to create new words to express these ideas. Among these processes are: Combining, compounding, prefixing, suffixing, shortening, alphabetism, acronymy, clipping, backformation, blending shifting, eggcorns, and reduplication. My digital project will focus on explaining these processes and giving examples of each. I will create this presentation using power point slides and movie maker.

I like that you are looking at an aspect of language that will directly connect with how adolescents use it! I like that you are thinking about how you will create this project. What do you envision your final project looking like? For example, did any of the examples we discussed in class speak to you? Thinking about this will help you better visualize your final product. I look forward to seeing your final project! Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have questions or need help!
